Hypnosis Training For The Mind

People suffering weight issues are ready to explore every possible avenue that promises fast and long-term weight loss. Even after a persuasive mid-nineties reanalysis of 18 hypnotic studies showed that psychotherapy clients who learned self-hypnosis lost twice as much weight as those who didn't (and, in one study, kept it off two years after treatment ended), hypnotherapy has remained a well-kept weight loss secret.
Unlike a Stage Show where I am looking for naturally adept individuals who can go into hypnosis quickly and deeply to display some very high hypnotherapy for weight loss level hypnotic phenomena, the great news is that you don't need to go that deep into hypnosis to get great results for weight loss.

Patrick K. Porter, PhD, in 1987, the Founder of Positive Changes network helps clients in the application of hypnosis to life-long challenges through self-imposed limitations and achieving their goals, whether losing weight, shedding stress, ending life-long cigarette addictions, or earning top scores on their SATs.
The more experienced hypnotherapist may restore the natural connection between the body and mind for natural eating, increasing the metabolic rate, making the client naturally crave what the body needs, feeling the body satisfaction and stopping not when full, but when the natural hunger is satisfied.

If you already have a structured training and nutrition plan, but you're having challenges with the behavior change side of things, I hypnosis or positive mental programming CD's might be worth trying as an additional tool in your "mental training" took kit.
If you go deep into hypnosis and you don't come out when instructed to do so, a gentle reminder from the hypnotherapist to your subconscious mind that you are paying for the time you spend in that comfortable chair will usually bring you right out of hypnosis without any problems.
Self hypnosis (by yourself), is as simple as taking long, deep breaths, getting relaxed (sometimes using progressive muscle relaxation techniques), then doing your visualization or repeating affirmations, or even listening to your own home-made affirmations tape.
